Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. In the TV and film industry, she is known for her nominations and awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Born and raised within New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was around five. She and her younger sister later moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire to become an actor been born. Following her graduation of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with the Bachelor's degree in African American Studies, she was able to obtain the Master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead characters as Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
